  3. SLIM is a powerful file compressor with RAM resident transparent expander,
  4. which gives painless access to compressed files. This is done by intercepting
  5. DOS calls, allowing applications to read compressed files just as before.
  6. So there is no need to worry about technicalities like archives. Just add the
  7. command 'SLIM ON' to AUTOEXEC.BAT and forget it.

  9. SLIM compresses almost all the files found on PCs and gives big savings on
  10. disk space. Over half of SLIM Ver 1.00/1.01 users who answered a questionnaire
  11. said that SLIM allowed them to postpone or cancel a hard disk upgrade.

  13. SLIM's size (under 24KB) makes it useful for floppy as well as hard disk
  14. machines. The RAM resident part uses 73KB of main memory. DOS 2.00+ required.
